An IMV campaign has three key components:
- IMV menu promotion
- IMV website promotion
- the IMV

There are creative assets required for each of the three components and these are listed in sections that follow in this document. It is important to deliver all these assets to maximise the reach and impact of your IMV.
Deliverables:
IMV menu promotion
- the official name of your IMV
- static image with dimensions 175x40px
N.B. Yahoo! will superimpose the name of the IMV on the top right of the image. Please make sure this area is clear for this purpose and the background is not too complex
IMV website promotion
- 2-3 sentences that describe your IMV.
The idea is to entice the user to try it out, so please give this some thought
- static image 158x98px.
This will appear alongside the name and description of the IMV so they should complement each other.

The IMV
Constructing an IMV differs greatly from building a banner ad. In fact, it is better to think of it as making a web page that only uses Flash. The user is able to resize it and the view of the IMV would not suffer. So it is necessary to supply the different parts of the IMV as separate Flash files so they can be positioned and oriented independently. For example, in the simplest case, there would be two sets of Flash files: one for the background which fills the IMV window, and the other the conversation background which is anchored to the right and whose size is in proportion to the size of the IMV window.
- .fla and .swf files for all Flash assets
- The maximum combined published file weight is 250KB
- The maximum dimensions for the IMV is 640x340px
- It's best to leave as much room as possible for the user’s conversation area, the average is 275x200px. Past experience confirms that users are less likely to stick with an IMV that interferes with their ability to see their conversations.
- The background must be simple and static, please do not use any animation in the background
- fonts in PC format for .fla files
- click through URLs (optional)
- Custom BUZZ (optional)
- BUZZ is a Yahoo! Messenger feature that users use to get the attention of those they are talking to. Frequent IMV users tend to actively seek out a custom BUZZ feature in a custom IMV
- A custom BUZZ can play a custom image or/and sound.
- The image can animate and can be a transparent .gif (no .png files) or .swf file (no ActionScript). The max dimensions are 340x240px
- The sound can be part of the .swf file if Flash is used
All deliverables must be submitted to Yahoo! 5-10 days prior to campaign launch or possible delay may occur. Contact your Sales Representative for additional details.
