- Polling units are available on all Yahoo! properties in all sizes.
Animation:
- Unlimited looping with 15 second max.
Audio:
- Available on user click or mouse-over. If audio will be initiated by mouse-over, there MUST be a one second delay.
Video:
Video is available to run within Polling units with the restrictions below:
- Format should be True Streaming solution. Progressive Download Streaming solution is available via user click only.
- There is a 30 second maximum on video stream length. For campaigns that exceed 30 seconds, you'll need additional guidance: adtechnology@uk.yahoo-inc.com.
- There are no frequency caps on the video portion of Polling ad units. The video can play every time the user sees the Polling ad unit.
Data Collection:
- Yahoo! allows advertisements to collect personal identifying information; however you may be asked to make changes to the ad units or include additional disclosure in order to be acceptable for advertising on Yahoo!.
If you wish to collect personal information within advertisements, those ad units will need to: 1) Clearly identify your organization. 2) Provide a direct link to your privacy policy, adjacent to the submit button. 3) Clearly identify the purpose for collecting the information. Additional disclosure may be required, depending on the type of advertisement. Please see your advertising representative for more information on required notices. Yahoo! will also label all such ad units with "ADVERTISEMENT".
Format:
- All Polling units MUST be built and served by a Yahoo! approved Rich Media vendor. See preferred vendors below.
Submission guidelines:
Creative submissions should include the following:
- Advertiser name
- Yahoo! Insertion Order number
- Detailed trafficking instructions
- Creative files - FLAs, fonts, backup images
- Alternate text (if applicable)
- Linking URL
- 3rd party tags (if applicable)
