Clickable ads contain three key components:
- The Ad video which runs a fix time-length pre- or post- video
- The invitation: invites the viewer to move their mouse over the video to learn more
- The product message overlay: appears on roll-over and remains on the screen until roll-out.
The Invitation Message is a fixed message that appears within the first 4 seconds of the advertisement. The invitation may not be customised by the advertiser.
The Product Message can currently be created in 2 formats: text and static image. A text version of the product message is always available, while the image is loaded when the ad starts.

Video Specifications:
Text product message:
Line 1:
- Maximum of 40 characters and limited to 1 line of text (plain text only, no html or rich-text).
- No multiple dashes
- No .com and .co.uk allowed
- No all caps and unnecessary caps allowed
- No exclamation points and ampersands allowed
- No underlined text
- Gotham-medium font will be used with no customisation of colour, size, style or other formatting.
- Text must be grammatically correct
- No phone numbers within the text
- Currency symbol must be included with price, either £ or €. Price must be stated in whole Pounds or Euros and not include Pence or Cents i.e. £5 or €5 is acceptable £5.00 or €5.00 is not allowed
Line 2 :
- Display URL to landing site.
- No pop-ups on the client's destination URL
- URLs will be coloured i.e. for a URL that begins with http:// or ending with “.com, .org,
Image product message:
- Image formats can be GIF or JPEG
- Dimensions: 290x80 px
- File size: 40k maximum
- Images require a distinct border to clearly identify their boundaries
Tracking:
3rd party tracking via transparent 1x1 pixels from approved vendors is optionally available for impressions and clicks.

Submission Guidelines:
Creative submissions should include the following:
- Advertiser name
- Yahoo! Insertion Order number
- Detailed trafficking instructions
- Video file
- Call-to-action text
- Call-to-action image (if applicable)
- Display URL to landing site
- 3rd party tracking (if applicable)
All video ads must be submitted to Yahoo! 5 days prior to campaign launch or possible delay may occur. Contact your Sales Representative for additional details.
